About this opportunity
Air Education and Training Command intends to solicit dormitory furniture delivery, removal, installation, and disposal at JBSA Lackland Chapman Annex, with a small-business set-aside and responses due to the Sources Sought Notice by July 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM CDT.
Place of performance is JBSA Lackland, Texas (1040 Apollo Dr, Buildings 126 and 127). The requirement covers two three-story technical training dormitories, each with 200 rooms, requiring procurement and sequential floor-by-floor installation of 800 units each of bunkable twin beds, student desks, desk chairs, two-drawer nightstands, and five-drawer chests, all in natural oak finish. Beds must feature Wedge Lock Spring Units, wooden headboards and footboards, and 16-gauge or better metal posts. Desks, nightstands, and chests require high-pressure laminate tops with solid oak bullnose edges and ball-bearing drawer slides rated for 100 lbs with extension. All furniture must meet strict dimension tolerances (+1 inch or +/− 1 inch depending on item type) and heavy-duty construction suitable for dormitory use. Concurrent removal and disposal of legacy furniture is required: 388 beds and 353–399 other items from Building 126, and 389–402 items from Building 127.
Work occurs room-by-room only when students are absent, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM CST, excluding federal holidays. The contractor provides all labor, equipment, transportation, dumpsters, protective materials, and site cleanup. All personnel require base access passes (submitted 10 days prior) and identifiable company apparel or badges. Furniture warranty must cover at least one year from final Government acceptance. No payment is issued until complete project delivery and installation.
The NAICS code is 337122 (Nonupholstered Wood Household Furniture Manufacturing) with a 750-employee business size standard. The Sources Sought seeks small-business status and socio-economic designations including 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB. Responses should indicate available delivery timeframes (30, 60, 90 days, or other) and confirm product availability. Submit responses to Contracting Officer Jaime Martinez at jaime.martinez.9@us.af.mil.
