About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Hood is seeking a service contract for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) redeployment at Fort Cavazos, Texas. The solicitation requires a contractor to provide specialized equipment and personnel capable of loading and unloading containerized and non-containerized military equipment weighing between 10,000 lbs and 100 tons. Specific equipment requirements include four 30K forklifts, two 10K forklifts, six flatbed trucks, one 100T crane, and multiple Removable Goose Neck (RGN) trailers, all with operators. The government will evaluate offers based on three primary factors: technical capability of equipment, delivery schedule, and pricing. Quotations are due by April 7, 2025, with contractors required to submit technical equipment specifications, delivery dates, and precise pricing for each contract line item (CLIN).
The contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS category 484110 for General Freight Trucking, Local, with a performance period from April 21 to May 5, 2025. Services will be performed Monday through Friday from 0730 to 1700 at various locations on Fort Cavazos, including motor pools, wash racks, line haul sites, and the Rail Operations Center. While no specific award value is disclosed, the contract requires comprehensive equipment provisions including operators, fuel, and safety equipment, with compliance mandated for federal, state, local, and Department of Defense regulations. The solicitation emphasizes the need for precise equipment capabilities, such as semi-trucks with gooseneck trailers capable of performing US Army Light Equipment Transporter System tasks. Key points of contact for this opportunity are Nora C. Cardenas and Darnyell C. Parker, with quotations to be submitted via email to their respective government addresses.
