About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA Energy) is seeking a contractor to directly supply natural gas to various Department of Defense and Federal Civilian installations across six western states: Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Washington. The solicitation SPE604-25-R-0401 will be issued for a 24-month period of performance starting October 1, 2025, with a potential 6-month extension option. DLA Energy intends to use a full and open competition approach, leveraging commercial procedures under FAR Part 12 and implementing a lowest price technically acceptable source selection process under FAR Part 15. The contract will result in fixed-price agreements with economic price adjustment requirements. Potential bidders are expected to demonstrate capability to supply approximately 29,181,316 dekatherms of natural gas during the contract period.
No specific set-aside is designated for this procurement, meaning all responsible sources are invited to compete. The estimated contract quantity of 29,181,316 dekatherms represents a significant natural gas supply commitment across the western United States. The solicitation will be structured as a fixed-price contract with provisions for economic price adjustments, providing flexibility for market fluctuations. The anticipated contract period spans 24 months, with a potential additional 6-month extension, suggesting a total maximum contract duration of 30 months. Small businesses interested in this opportunity are encouraged to contact DLA Energy's Small Business Office at dla.energy.osbp@dla.mil for further guidance or clarification about the procurement process.
