About this opportunity
The Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC) at the Washington Navy Yard is seeking contractors to remodel two office spaces through the delivery, assembly, and installation of modular workstations. The first space requires five individual modular floor-to-ceiling workstations, while the second space needs the removal of five existing cubicles and installation of two new office modular floor-to-ceiling walled spaces. All workstations must meet specific requirements including 65-inch minimum wall heights, anodized aluminum frames, HPL particle board construction, class A fabric, light blue/grey work surfaces, overhead lockable storage cabinets, and mobile file cabinets. The contractor must complete all work within fifteen working days and provide a two-year warranty on all installations. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for June 12, 2025, at 9:30 AM, with electronic quotes due by 9:00 AM on June 19, 2025, to Contract Specialist Ashley Steele.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 337214 (Office Furniture Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,100 employees, meaning only certified small businesses are eligible to submit quotes. The work will be performed on the third floor of Building 57 at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC, with contractors required to navigate logistical challenges including a single main passenger/service elevator and potential 2-5 steps at the building entrance. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, tools, labor, debris removal, and coordination with IT and electrical contractors while complying with government security procedures. The solicitation includes provisions for design layouts and 3D renderings, and vendors were encouraged to request site visits to confirm measurements and coordinate staging areas for furniture components. No award values or budget ranges were specified in the solicitation documents.
