About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking to procure 2 Global Deicer Simulators or an equal system for use at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. The key objectives are to enhance maintenance training capacity, reduce training time and equipment downtime, and increase training availability and proficiency ahead of winter operations for Fairchild technicians. The simulator system must replicate the interior, functions, and controls of two specific deicer truck models, including physical joysticks identical to the real equipment. On-site installation, training, and ongoing technical support are required. Evaluation will be based on technical capability, past performance, and price, with award to the most advantageous offer. Responses are due by September 4, 2024.
This is a total small business set-aside opportunity. The government has identified a specific brand name product that meets the requirements, but will consider equal systems. The contract will be a firm-fixed price award, with delivery required within 150 days. The estimated quantity is 2 simulator systems, to be installed at Fairchild AFB in Washington.
