About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command at Moody AFB is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of performing body damage repair on a 2015 P-23 Oshkosh 3000 Gallon Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) vehicle. The contract requirements include comprehensive vehicle services such as pickup via flatbed truck from Moody AFB, transportation to a repair facility, performing body repairs in accordance with the Statement of Work, and returning the vehicle for inspection and acceptance. While this is not a formal competitive proposal solicitation, the government will consider capability statements, proposals, or quotations from responsible sources. All questions or comments should be directed to Contract Specialist SrA Cloud Wharton via email at cloud.wharton@us.af.mil. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 3, 2025, with responses due by March 28, 2025.
The opportunity is not designated with any specific set-aside, and it falls under NAICS category 811121 for Automotive Body, Paint, and Interior Repair and Maintenance. The damage assessment photographs indicate significant body panel repairs are needed, including work on rear quarter panels, side panels, and potentially other areas of the emergency vehicle. No specific award value or budget range was disclosed in the documentation. The repair work will focus on restoring the vehicle's operational condition, including panel replacement, body and paint work to match the existing vehicle color, and reinstallation of trim and light components. The timeline for service completion is not explicitly stated, but the pre-solicitation suggests an expedited process to return the critical firefighting vehicle to service at Moody Air Force Base.
