About this opportunity
Air Mobility Command seeks procurement of one Waterous CPK-5 Two-Stage Centrifugal Fire Pump, with offers due August 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT. The procurement is a total small business set-aside and carries brand-name restriction under FAR 12.102(a), justified by integration requirements with existing crash firetruck infrastructure that would necessitate significant retrofitting for alternatives.
Place of performance is Tampa, Florida (F2V3RS 6 LRS LGRV). The pump must deliver 320 GPM at 1,350 PSI with ductile iron body construction, replaceable bronze wear rings and impellers, self-adjusting mechanical shaft seal, 12-volt system operation, and a one-year conditional parts warranty. Hydrostatic test pressure is 2,025 PSI. Intake connection is 3-inch NPT or Victaulic; discharge is 1.5-inch ANSI flanged with pump positioned up and inverted transmission mounting. Input rotation is 1-1/2 inch SAE-10 spline clockwise. Finish is red oxide primer per specification M 4142-P per PR1532.
This is a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Delivery must occur within 60 calendar days from award. The NAICS code is 333914 (Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing) with a size standard of 750 employees. PSC is 4210, Fire Fighting Equipment.
Evaluation uses Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, with technical acceptability as the primary gate and price determining award among acceptable offers. Contractors must maintain active SAM registration, comply with DFARS requirements including item unique identification marking for items exceeding five thousand dollars, and submit invoices via Wide Area Workflow. Award is contingent upon funding availability. Offers should be submitted to vincent.mata.3@us.af.mil and ramon.jimenez.7@us.af.mil. An ombudsman, Ms. Lisa A. Gross at Scott AFB Illinois, is available to facilitate resolution of offeror concerns after initial contracting officer engagement.
