About this opportunity
This Commercial Solutions Opening issued by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center seeks innovative portable imaging solutions to interrogate unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices through non-destructive means. Offerors must submit white papers by July 7, 2020 outlining their proposed technical approaches to visualize internal device components via new x-ray or imaging technologies, while demonstrations may be requested in August. Evaluations will prioritize technical merit, importance to mission success, and overall solution affordability. Resulting contracts could range from $150,000 to $6,000,000 annually through 2024 depending on technology maturity levels.
There is no set-aside designated for this requirement to be performed primarily at Tyndall AFB, Florida. Awards are contemplated as firm-fixed price contracts following a two-step evaluation of proposals assessed based on technical approach, importance to the mission, and affordability. Total annual contract values may range from $150,000 to $6,000,000 per award over a potential seven-year ordering period.
