About this opportunity

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency seeks innovative research proposals in advanced signal processing technologies and techniques for future Radio Frequency systems through a Broad Agency Announcement. Proposals are due by January 28, 2020 and should address both a 15-month Phase 1 base effort and a 24-month Phase 2 option period investigating revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems for surveillance, filtering, and localization applications. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical and scientific merit, relevance to DARPA's mission, experience and capabilities, and cost and schedule realism. The agency anticipates making multiple Phase 1 awards and will evaluate performance to determine which efforts receive Phase 2 options.

There is no set-aside designation. Eligible proposers may include subcontractors without classified facilities but with plans to obtain facility approval, and subcontractors can work on unclassified aspects prior to approval. While hardware is not required for Phase I, modeling and simulation must demonstrate feasibility for Phase 2 hardware development. The NAICS code is 541715 and PSC code is R408. Research proposals are due by January 28, 2020 with multiple Phase 1 awards anticipated and Phase 2 options determined by Phase 1 performance over 15 months for base efforts and potential 24 months option periods.
