About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management Utah Region seeks quotations for approximately 189 tons of 1-1/2" untreated base course gravel to be supplied, hauled, and delivered to three Kane Creek recreation sites near Moab, Utah, with quotations due July 9, 2026 by 3:00 PM Mountain Time. The procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures.
Place of performance includes three recreation sites (Moab Rim parking area, Kings Bottom campground, and Moonflower Canyon parking area) located within one-half mile of each other and accessed via the same road. The material must conform to specified sieve analysis gradation requirements per ASTM C136, verified through certified weight tickets from a public or approved supplier scale. A sieve analysis should be submitted with the quotation if available and must be provided at delivery. The contractor furnishes all labor, equipment, and materials for delivery and dumping; the BLM performs spreading, leveling, and compaction. Vehicle requirements vary by site: end-dump trucks are required at Moab Rim and Moonflower sites, while Kings Bottom accommodates belly-dump-style vehicles. Tonnage allocations per site will be provided after award by the Contracting Officer Representative.
Payment is unit-price based per ton for the total 189-ton requirement. The period of performance is 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Questions were due July 1, 2026 by 1:00 PM Mountain Time. Award will be made using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable approach to the responsible quoter meeting all technical requirements at the lowest total price. The contractor must maintain active SAM.gov registration and comply with electronic invoicing through the Treasury Invoice Processing Platform. FAR 52.219-33 Nonmanufacturer Rule applies. Amendment 0002, posted September 3, 2026, cancels the entire solicitation.
