About this opportunity
This Special Notice addresses a cloud hosting services requirement issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a civilian agency under the Department of Transportation. The original Request for Quote (RFQ) posted under GSA RFQ 1782226 was closed prematurely due to a recent federal furlough. The FAA has announced its intention to re-issue the RFQ on the GSA e-buy platform to solicit cloud services in support of the agency's operational mission. This is an industry announcement intended to inform the market of the upcoming opportunity. No response is required from contractors at this time regarding this Special Notice.
The purpose of this re-issuance is to provide a new opportunity for cloud service providers to submit quotes for the FAA's cloud hosting requirements while incorporating feedback and questions received from the initial RFQ process. The new RFQ has been posted as GSA RFQ 1788191, with a due date of January 12, 2026. The opportunity falls under NAICS Code 518210 (Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services) and PSC Code DC10 (IT and Telecom - Data Center As A Service), indicating the solicitation seeks qualified cloud infrastructure and hosting service providers. No specific set-aside provisions have been designated for this requirement, meaning it is open to all eligible contractors. Interested vendors should monitor the GSA e-buy site for the complete RFQ documentation and submit their proposals by the stated deadline.
