About this opportunity
The National Park Service Pacific West Region seeks cleaning and mold remediation services for seven residential units at Crater Lake National Park in Klamath County, Oregon, with quotations due July 24, 2026. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside (NAICS 562910, $25 million size standard), and the government estimates pricing under $55,000 but does not treat this as a ceiling or floor.
Place of performance is Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. Work spans August 3 through September 2, 2026 (30 calendar days). Three units require cleaning, mold remediation, and interior restoration due to water intrusion and microbial growth; four units require cleaning only unless additional damage surfaces during inspection. Scope includes selective demolition of approximately 65 square feet of water-damaged ceiling materials per unit, two-pass HEPA vacuuming, carpet shampooing and sanitization with HEPA extraction, treatment of hard surfaces with EPA-registered antimicrobial agents, furniture sanitization, air purification with HEPA scrubbers (minimum 4 air changes per hour), dehumidification to maintain humidity below 60%, insulation replacement, drywall and plaster repair per ASTM standards, and air and surface testing to verify clearance. All work areas require containment with negative air pressure and dust control per OSHA standards. Permitted work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days per week. A minimum one-year warranty is required.
Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must maintain liability insurance of $500,000 per person/occurrence and $500,000 property damage and provide either a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit equal to 100 percent of contract price within 10 days of award. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM PDT. Quoters must be SAM-registered with active UEI. Evaluation criteria include price, relevant experience, schedule, technical approach, and past performance. Contracting Officer Alanna Gardner (alanna_gardner@ios.doi.gov, 415-858-9668); Contracting Officer's Representative Andrew Hoeg (andrew_hoeg@nps.gov, 541-594-3037).
