About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Seattle is procuring a brand-name Eldec MF50 Mobile Induction Brazer System for Chief Joseph Dam in Bridgeport, Washington. This specialized equipment package includes an Eldec MF 50 Induction Power Supply with programmable PLC controller, a 5-ton chiller, and a mobile cart that allows the entire system to be moved together. The procurement requires vendors to provide detailed technical specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and a minimum two-year or 2,000 operating hours warranty. Award will be made to the lowest-priced, responsive, and responsible vendor that meets all specified requirements. The solicitation has undergone two amendments, with the final quote submission deadline extended to July 30, 2025, at 1000 PST, and quotes must be submitted via email to della.s.overton@usace.army.mil.

This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, requiring vendors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. The estimated value is approximately $200,000 based on the justification documentation. The successful contractor must deliver the complete system to Chief Joseph Dam within 120 days of award, with deliveries scheduled during business hours Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding federal holidays. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332811 for Metal Heat Treating and is classified as a brand-name only acquisition, meaning only the specific Eldec MF50 system will be accepted. The justification emphasizes standardization across the Northwest District, where Portland and Walla Walla Districts already operate similar Eldec MF50 systems, allowing for seamless integration and knowledge transfer for stator repairs at the dam facility.
