About this opportunity
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), through its U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to assess commercially available unattended ground sensor (UGS) systems, equipment, and enabling technologies to support land and littoral surveillance over the next ten years. Responses are requested to address technical feasibility, interoperability, producibility, product support concepts, and affordability, and will be accepted through December 21, 2023 to inform potential demonstrations and future acquisition strategies.
There is no set-aside designated for this requirement. Responses should relate to NAICS 334619 (Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing) and PSC code Q920 (Detection - Surveillance Equipment/Supplies). No incumbent or current contractors are identified. The RFI does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or commit the government to any contractual agreement, and is intended solely for market research purposes. Evaluation criteria include technological readiness levels, manufacturing readiness levels, alignment with interoperability standards, and projected pricing through 2024.
