About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 seeks procurement and delivery of one cage rack washer sterilizer to Cincinnati VA Medical Center, with proposals due July 30, 2026 and questions due July 17. This is a total small business set-aside awarded as Brand Name or Equal, competed among small business distributors of the Lynx Model 410LX or equivalent equipment.
Place of performance is Cincinnati, Ohio. The equipment must be pit-mounted with no building modifications required and delivered to Building 14, 3200 Vine Street, Research Dock, during warehouse hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, FOB Destination.
The procurement was triggered by repeated mechanical deficiencies in existing equipment that pose safety threats to laboratory animals and jeopardize accreditations from the American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care and the VA Office of Research Oversight. Specifications include chamber dimensions 46"W x 85"H x 85–122"D, double-door pit-mounted design with separate clean and soiled entrances, steam heating with temperature range 120°F–200°F, oscillating spray jets, BioSafety Level II suitability, programmable cycles, sound levels under 70 decibels, 208V power, high-visibility touch screen display, emergency exit release capability, and automatic drain valve with water discharge and pH control. The contractor must provide turn-key installation including uncrating, assembly, leveling, startup, and user training within 48 business hours advance notice. A two-year warranty with 48-hour service response is required. Payment is firm-fixed-price upon completion and Contracting Officer Representative validation, submitted in arrears through the OB-10 portal. The contract carries no options.

This action is being modified to allow time for a site visit. The site visit is scheduled for July 23, 2026, at 01:00PM. The site visit is not mandatory. In addition to the site visit, The SOW has been updated, Salient Charateristics have been added. And questions that have been sent to the Contracting Officer have been addressed. These documents are listed in the attachments

The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliveries described in this statement of work (SOW). Contractor shall procure and deliver 1 Cage Rack Washer that requires no building modifications.
Delivery will be made to the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, 3200 Vine Street, Building 14, Cincinnati OH 45220, Research Dock.
