About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking small business contractors to perform depot-level repair on the C-5 Tension Regulator, NSN 1680-00-013-8806 UC. This is a firm-fixed-price requirements contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The key objectives are to restore the tension regulators to a serviceable condition in accordance with Air Force technical manuals, while meeting requirements for repair quality, turnaround time, on-time delivery, and reporting. Interested parties must be registered in the Joint Certification Program and approved to view export-controlled data in order to access the technical data package.

This is a competitive, total small business set-aside procurement. The government will provide the unserviceable assets, and the contractor must furnish all other required materials and resources. Two companies, Meggitt Safety Systems and Thomas Instruments, are currently qualified as approved repair sources. The contract will be awarded on an all-or-none basis, and responses to the Request for Quote and Source Qualification documents are due by 5:00 PM EST on July 13, 2024. The contracting agency is the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center.
