About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is seeking to procure C-5 Galaxy aircraft structural panels through a long-term strategic contract. The procurement will cover 323 specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for aircraft components, with the solicitation targeted for release on May 12, 2025. Potential vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and either be on the ESA's Qualified Sources List (QSL) or obtain qualification before contract award. The evaluation criteria will include a best value selection method considering price, past performance, and other factors. Interested vendors should contact Jonathan Harrison at jonathan.harrison.3@us.af for QSL inquiries, with proposal responses due by May 30, 2025.

The contract is a 100% small business set-aside with a total 10-year period of performance, structured as a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. It will consist of a 5-year base period followed by a 5-year option period. The government may award multiple contracts and will evaluate pricing based on estimated annual demand. While specific contract values were not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the solicitation covering 323 NSNs suggests a significant procurement opportunity for small businesses in the aircraft parts manufacturing sector. The solicitation will be available through the DLA DIBBS Website, and vendors will need to carefully review the requirements and ensure compliance with all specified qualifications and submission guidelines.
