About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified contractors capable of designing, installing, and integrating a Brake Temperature Monitoring System (BTMS) for Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery (SOF/PR) fixed-wing aircraft in the HC/AC/MC-J fleet. Potential contractors must demonstrate comprehensive engineering services experience, manufacturing capabilities, quality assurance processes, and the ability to develop technical documentation. The government seeks detailed information regarding respondents' business qualifications, technical expertise, past performance on similar projects, and facility resources to support system development and integration. Responses must be submitted electronically by December 22, 2025, to designated Air Force email contacts with a maximum attachment size of 10 MB per email. This RFI is issued for market research and information-gathering purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a future Request for Proposal, nor does it guarantee contract award or reimbursement of response costs.
This is a pre-solicitation notice with no set-aside designation applied. The contract is anticipated to include one base year with five option years, with installation planned to commence in March 2026. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this RFI phase. The NAICS code is 541715 (Aerospace Research and Development), and the PSC code is 5999 (Miscellaneous Electrical and Electronic Components). Small businesses, including Woman-Owned, Veteran-Owned, and HUBZone enterprises, are actively encouraged to participate. Contractors should monitor SAM.gov for future solicitation updates, as the government will issue any subsequent RFP through the System for Award Management website.
