PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION

The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources possessing the means to design, install and integrate a BTMS that meets SOF current configuration that has been tested. Due to time constraints and urgency, respondents must have access to the current data package for the SOF BTMS configuration and must be prepared to install and integrate on HC/AC/MC-J fleet starting March 2026.

Currently, the Government does not have access to the technical data package. BTMS shall be a low cost, simplified modification that is non-invasive to other systems on the aircraft, providing digital temperature readouts to the pilot and co-pilot for each brake stack alerting of an impending overheat condition that is Night Vision Imagery System compliant. The Contractor shall be able to address brake temperature monitoring issues, provide operational capability improvements, have the ability to analyze/recommend improvements, suggest/provide reliability and maintainability actions, assist with resolving deficiency reports, provide engineering/technical support for trial install, test, gather, and evaluate test data results, and assist with BTMS troubleshooting repairs. The Contractor shall also assist with maintenance assists as required through the trial test period and possess the ability to develop Time Compliance Technical Orders, Technical Order change packages, Operational Supplements, and drawing packages.

This requirement is for the HC/AC/MC-J aircraft BTMS kit modification and installation. The anticipated period of contract performance is 1 Base Year and 5 Option Years.
