About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management Colorado Region is soliciting a contractor to install a single 20' x 20' steel "Mesa" model cabana at their White River Field Office facility located at 220 E Market St, Meeker, Colorado. The project requires the contractor to purchase the cabana from Classic Recreation Systems (via Shadesun.com), furnish all labor, equipment, and materials for installation, and complete dirt work including a compacted aggregate subbase with concrete footings according to manufacturer specifications. Vendors must submit comprehensive proposals including a technical approach with execution plan and construction schedule, past government experience with references, three comparable projects from the past three years, and company resumes demonstrating expertise in this type of work. The contract will be awarded on a best value basis considering price and other factors, with technical capability and past performance potentially outweighing the lowest price. The original proposal deadline of June 23, 2025 has been extended to June 30, 2025, with proposals to be submitted electronically to Contracting Specialist Patrick Frost at pfrost@blm.gov.
This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 238990 (All Other Specialty Trade Contractors) with a size standard of $19.5 million, though the estimated contract value appears to be around $19,500. No current incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation documents. The performance period has been extended from the original end date of November 1, 2025 to March 1, 2026 to accommodate potential material delays, with work beginning October 1, 2025 and expected to be completed within 30 days of notice to proceed. Work must be performed Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays, and the contractor will be subject to prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act as outlined in the included wage determination for Colorado building construction projects. The project involves installation at the BLM's L07 Recreation Site as part of facility improvements at the White River Field Office.
