About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking a small business contractor to perform storm drain system repairs and redesign at Building 1788 on Mountain Home Air Force Base. The project involves comprehensive infrastructure improvements, including adding gutters over courtyard access doorways, demolishing existing concrete and storm infrastructure, installing new concrete and trench drain, replacing 6-inch storm drain pipes, and repairing joint and masonry sealants. This repair was necessitated by significant flooding during a precipitation event in August 2023 that exposed drainage system deficiencies. The solicitation (FA489725B0005) will be a two-step Invitation for Bid (IFB) released on April 3, 2025, with bid opening on May 5, 2025. Interested firms must be registered in SAM.gov and submit responses via email by March 25, 2025, to the 366th Contracting Squadron.
The contract is set aside for total small business participation, with potential specific set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (8(a)), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Women-Owned Small Business categories. The project value is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000, with a performance period of 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Contractors will be required to follow strict safety protocols, comply with Department of Defense Unified Facility Criteria, and provide comprehensive site restoration with a one-year warranty on all work performed. The project falls under the NAICS Category 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and PSC Category Z2JZ for Repair or Alteration of Miscellaneous Buildings. Successful bidders must demonstrate capability to coordinate with base operations, adhere to security access procedures, and complete all technical requirements specified in the Statement of Work.
