About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is soliciting quotes for preventative maintenance and comprehensive documentation services for essential medical response equipment utilized by Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire & Emergency Services across sixteen installations. The required services include maintenance for ambulance stretchers, stair chairs, and cardiac monitors (defibrillators were removed from the scope through amendments), with work encompassing annual inspections, functional testing, safety checks, software updates, cleaning, and detailed reporting in compliance with FDA regulations, NFPA standards, and OSHA requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ N0018925Q0410) for a Firm Fixed Price contract conducted as a full and open competition under FAR Part 13 with NAICS code 811210. The government will award primarily based on price, though past performance may be considered if the lowest-priced quote does not represent the best value. The solicitation closes at 1000 AM ET on August 19, 2025, with quotes to be submitted to Amber Bradley.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and represents a new requirement with no incumbent contractor, requiring selected contractors to register with installation security offices and maintain clearance for base access. The equipment inventory includes 37 stretchers, 34 stair chairs, and 57 cardiac monitors distributed across naval installations in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Indiana, and Illinois. The contract structure includes a base period from September 8, 2025, to September 7, 2026, with one option period extending through September 7, 2027. Performance locations span multiple states with the primary concentration in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and contractors must provide expedited service calls within 48 hours when required. The solicitation documents indicate that approximately 68 automatic external defibrillators were recently purchased, and warranty considerations may apply to some newer equipment.
