About this opportunity
The Air Force Special Operations Command, specifically Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for Barrier Repair and Maintenance Services. The procurement seeks a small business contractor to provide comprehensive management, tools, equipment, supplies, and labor for performing service orders, routine maintenance, and inspection of 8 barriers at the installation. Interested companies must submit a maximum 5-page capabilities package that includes company details, business size, socio-economic status, potential teaming arrangements, and descriptions of similar services provided to government and commercial customers. The evaluation will focus on companies' ability to meet technical requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement, with particular emphasis on demonstrating capability to perform required barrier maintenance and repair services. Key submission details include providing company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, email address, CAGE code, web page URL, and small business size certification. The response deadline is close of business on January 3, 2025, with electronic submissions required.
The opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811310, with a small business size standard of $12.5 million in annual revenues. While no incumbent contractor is specifically named, the solicitation indicates the requirement involves maintaining 8 barriers with a firm-fixed-price structure that includes quarterly preventive maintenance and emergency repair capabilities. Contractors must maintain a 96% operational rate for barriers and provide a 24/7 support hotline, with minor repairs priced at $50 per barrier per quarter during maintenance visits and $100 per barrier per service call. The government is conducting market research to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic categories of potential sources, with a focus on small businesses that can demonstrate technical competence in barrier maintenance and repair services. Future solicitation details will be posted on Beta.SAM.gov, and the current tracking number for this opportunity is FA441725Q0029.
