About this opportunity

The US Geological Survey issued an Intent to Award Notice on August 13, 2026, announcing its intent to award a sole-source contract to BAE for renewal of software maintenance for BAE Socet Set and Socet GXP, with response deadline August 24, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern.

USGS requires continued maintenance support for the BAE Socet GXP geospatial software suite Pro Bundle Upgrade Entitlement at the National Civil Applications Center classified facilities in Reston, Virginia and Lakewood, Colorado. The maintenance package includes annual support, new upgrades, and software releases for stereo image processing capabilities supporting classified and unclassified work. The software serves the Core Science Systems and National Land Imaging Program.

Period of performance runs October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. USGS determined no other source can provide equivalent products and is proceeding under other-than-full-and-open-competition authority, citing data continuity, compatibility with existing classified systems, and significant costs and complexity of migration and reprocessing.

Competing vendors who believe they offer similar products meeting the requirement may contact Contract Specialist Patrick Anderson at patrick_anderson@usgs.gov no later than August 24, 2026, 9:00 AM Eastern with an affirmative response. The NAICS code is 513210 (Software Publishers); PSC is DA10 (IT and Telecom—Business Application/Application Development Software as a Service).
