About this opportunity

This solicitation seeks offers to renovate the rubber fall protection surface and install new sunshades at the Child Development Center playground located at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is procuring these goods and services. The contractor will be responsible for demolition of existing structures, replacement of rubber surfaces, installation of new shade structures, and adherence to all design requirements, construction standards, and safety protocols outlined in the statement of work and concept drawings over a 90-day period of performance. Award will be made based on the lowest price technically acceptable offer in accordance with FAR Part 15. Proposals are due by August 4th at 0730.

This procurement has been set aside for total small business. The NAICS code is 238990 and PSC code is S206. The estimated value is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contractor will perform all work at Building 940, Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi within 90 days of notice to proceed.

The purpose of amendment #2 to the solicitation is to incorporate a revised Statement of Work and an updated AF Form 66 and to extend the date for submission of Requests for Information (RFI).

Attached are the revised SOW and updated AF Form 66 (CDC_AF Form 66_20230726 and Design Build SOW_20230726).

Due to adminstrative issues, an official amendement on an SF 30 will be implemented prior to any contract action.

Amendment 1: 

This solicitation has been amended to reflect the range of magnitude, this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204(d). FAR Subpart 19.15 is to be competed among Small Business concerns as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 337920 Blind and Shade Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 Employees. The PSC classification is 7230 Draperies, Awnings, and Shades. The Government anticipates issuing an award based upon the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-2. The Government also anticipates establishing evaluation factors that may assess price, technical acceptability, prior history, and SAM exclusions.

All relevant solicitation documents, will be available on the System for Award Management website: http://www.SAM.gov. 

IAW Air Force Controlled Unclassified Information regulations all pertinent drawings are by request only and will be sent Via DoD SAFE.
