About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking a furniture installation service for the 25th Attack Group at Shaw Air Force Base, specifically targeting Buildings 1998, 1999, and 2002, Room 202. The solicitation requires a contractor to install Haworth brand workstations with varied configurations including back-to-back, side-to-side, and corner-to-corner arrangements, with specific requirements for filing drawers and office supply storage. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 14, 2025, at 0900 EST, with base access request submissions due by April 4, 2025. Potential contractors must submit questions by April 21, 2025, and final quotes are due on May 5, 2025, at 1400 EST. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the solicitation suggests that Haworth furniture proficiency, adherence to installation specifications, and compliance with base security protocols will be key considerations.
The contract is set aside for total small business participation, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 337214 and a size standard of 1,100 employees. The installation project involves nearly 500 furniture items across multiple buildings, with a priority sequence starting in Building 2002 Room 202, followed by Building 1999, and then Building 1998. The performance objective is to install 100% of purchased furniture within 30 days of project initiation, with work to be completed during normal business hours (0700-1600) Monday through Friday, excluding US Government holidays. The place of performance is Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, and the contractor will be responsible for unpacking, installing, and disposing of packaging materials while maintaining strict security protocols. While a specific award value is not mentioned, the detailed Bill of Materials and comprehensive installation requirements suggest a substantial and complex project.
