About this opportunity
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Yuma Proving Ground (MICC-YPG) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market research on annual preventative maintenance, calibration, and on-demand repair services for laboratory equipment at the US Army Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The procurement covers maintenance and repair of PerkinElmer scientific instruments including a NexIon ICP-MS, PolyScience WhisperCool Chiller, Oil Express 4 System Autosampler and FT-IR, TurboMatrix 40 Headspace Sampler, and multiple Clarus Gas Chromatography systems. The government is seeking information regarding the appropriate NAICS classification for the services and requesting that interested contractors provide evidence of prior experience delivering similar services, including relevant contract numbers, total contract values, and capability statements. The anticipated contract will be structured as a hybrid Firm Fixed Price and Time & Materials arrangement with a cap of $25,000 per year for T&M repairs, requiring the use of PerkinElmer factory-trained and certified technicians and the provision of OEM parts and software updates. Responses to this RFI are due by January 14, 2026, though this pre-solicitation notice does not constitute a formal request for quote or a guarantee that a solicitation will be issued.
No set-aside designations apply to this procurement. The contract performance period spans three years, with a base year from March 18, 2026 through March 17, 2027, followed by two optional one-year extensions. The government has not identified any incumbent contractors in this notice. While specific annual award values are not explicitly stated in the RFI, the Time & Materials repair component is capped at $25,000 per year, suggesting the total contract value will depend on the pricing for annual preventative maintenance and calibration services submitted by potential contractors. Interested firms should note that this RFI is intended solely for information and planning purposes and does not obligate the government to issue a formal solicitation or award a contract based on the responses received.
