About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force's 436th Contracting Squadron is conducting a solicitation to identify small business contractors capable of providing annual testing and documentation services for the Dover Air Force Base Fire Department. The required services include testing and certification of 100% of the fire department's inventory of hoses, nozzles, fire pumps, ground ladders, and aerial ladders in accordance with NFPA standards. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract to the responsible vendor whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements and is the most advantageous based on technical capability and price factors. Proposals are due by April 26, 2024, and the contract period is for a base year from June 2024 to September 2024 with four one-year option periods and a six-month extension.
This solicitation is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 541380, with a $19 million size standard. The location of performance is Dover, DE. The government estimates the total quantity of equipment to be tested annually but has not provided a specific budget range. The incumbent contractor is unknown, as this appears to be a new requirement.
