About this opportunity

The United States Air Force, specifically the 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, is seeking capabilities packages for Water Containers to support the 2025 Aviation Nation Air Show. The procurement involves providing 10 drinking water barrels of 125 gallons each, totaling 3,750 gallons of potable water over three days (April 4-6, 2025). The government is currently conducting a sources sought synopsis to identify potential suppliers, with a focus on small businesses, including 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) small businesses. Interested firms must submit a concise capabilities package demonstrating technical compliance with the Statement of Work by February 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. Responses must be electronically submitted to 1st Lt Vincent McDonough with specific email subject line and attachment requirements, and all respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database.

The opportunity is classified under NAICS code 221310 for Water Supply and Irrigation Systems, with a size standard of $41.0 million. No definitive set-aside has been determined, but the government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based on the received responses. If a small business set-aside is implemented, prime contractors must perform at least 50% of the work. The contract requires contractors to provide new or like-new water barrels, establish a service call system, maintain availability within 90 minutes during normal duty hours, obtain necessary Nevada Division of Environmental Protection certifications, and develop a quality control and spill response plan. Equipment must be delivered by 0800 on April 3, 2025, and picked up by 0800 on April 7, 2025, with contractors accessing the base through Area II gate on Las Vegas Boulevard. While no specific award value is mentioned, the size standard suggests potential for significant contract opportunities.
