About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City intends to procure brand-new Original Equipment Manufacturer spare parts for Air Handler Units at the New Embassy Compound, with solicitation launch on SAM.gov at a date to be announced; this is a single-source procurement under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) using brand-name authority, with an estimated value of $29,842.00.
Place of performance is the New Embassy Compound in Mexico City. The procurement encompasses nine line items: limit switches (15 units), air filters from CAMFIL (630 units total), electric motor grease (100 units), and bearings from NSK and SKF (70 units total). All replacement parts must match the brand, model, and OEM part numbers of the originally installed equipment; no substitutions are accepted. The requirement stems from the HVAC system's design as an integrated ecosystem, where specification-matched components are necessary to ensure compatibility, maintain system performance, preserve manufacturer warranties, and enable timely repairs critical to Embassy operations.
Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov at the time of proposal submission per FAR 4.1102(a); failure to register will render proposals non-responsive. Electronic submission is permitted. The Facility Management Office (FAC) and Embassy Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) are the requiring parties. Contracting Officer is Morgan Osborne (General Services Office); Requirements Cognizance is David Marshall (Facility Manager). Justification document was certified as accurate and fair and reasonable on July 6, 2026. Full specifications, part numbers, quantities, and delivery requirements will be provided in the RFQ upon solicitation launch.
