About this opportunity
The Transportation Security Administration has awarded a sole-source contract to Agilent Technologies, Inc. for a preventative maintenance service agreement for an Agilent GC/MS 7250 Quadrupole Time of Flight System, with an estimated total value of $207,226.20 across the base year and option periods.
The justification cites Agilent as the original equipment manufacturer with exclusive rights to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, service documentation, and parts. Only Agilent-certified engineers are authorized to perform required maintenance; unauthorized third-party service would compromise equipment accuracy, warranty compliance, and operational readiness. The equipment is located at the William J. Hughes FAA Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace and is critical to supporting the National Explosives Detection Canine Team Program and the production of Canine Explosives Training Aids. The contract structure includes one base year (FY 2026) at $41,445.24 with up to four 12-month option years (FY 2027–2030). Services under the CrossLab Silver Plan encompass unlimited telephone support, hardware and software maintenance, Agilent parts and consumables, repairs by Agilent-certified engineers, travel, labor, and annual preventative maintenance visits. Award date was August 5, 2026. Place of performance is Wilmington, Delaware (Agilent Technologies location).
Notice text
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), through the Chemistry & Explosives Branch (CEB), has a requirement to procure an Agilent CrossLab Silver preventative maintenance service agreement for the Agilent Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) 7250 Quadrupole Time of Flight (QTOF) System used in the Chemistry Lab. The agreement will cover one (1) 12-month base year of service, with the option to exercise up to four (4) 12-month option years. This maintenance service is essential to ensure the equipment is properly calibrated and operating at optimal standards to ensure the research and analysis is accurate, as this data affects how Canine Explosives Training Aids (CETA) are prepared, configured, and packaged.
Awarded contract GS-07F-0564X to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2026-08-05.
