About this opportunity

This is a non-personal services contract issued by the Department of the Army Medical Command to provide infectious disease surveillance and research services across six countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The contractor will support the U.S. Army Medical Research Directorate for Africa's infectious disease surveillance program through establishing clinical surveillance networks, transporting and testing samples, developing data management systems, and submitting regular reports. Proposals are due by June 8, 2021 and will be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and price. The period of performance is one base year starting in June 2021 with four optional one-year extensions.

Historical workload data indicates the incumbent contractor provides support through approximately 100 full-time personnel positions across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. Pricing is requested for the base year as well as each optional extension period. Services will be performed in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Somalia, and potentially other locations on the African continent. The total value of the contract could exceed $100 million over the five-year period if all options are exercised.
