The U.S. Air Force is soliciting proposals for the furnishing, delivery, and installation of private office furniture for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio under solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0025. The procurement includes commercial office furniture products and related services such as design, installation, and removal of existing furniture, with all items required to be from a single manufacturer (basis of design: JSI Vision or Sit On It, or equal). The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis to the responsible offeror with the lowest evaluated price whose proposal conforms to all requirements and whose prices are determined to be fair and reasonable. Evaluation will focus on technical acceptability of proposed furniture on a pass/fail basis, with award criteria emphasizing lowest cost among compliant proposals. The deadline for questions and answers is April 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST, with proposals due on April 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST. A solicitation amendment issued on April 1, 2026, extended both dates and superseded all previous documentation.

This is an unrestricted procurement with no small business set-aside, and there are no named incumbent contractors referenced in the solicitation documents. The contract covers thirteen line items encompassing six U-shaped workstations (combining two typical configurations designated PO1 and PO2), twenty-four seating items (including task chairs, guest chairs, and lounge chairs), four tables, design and engineering services (29 units), removal of six existing furniture items, and delivery and installation services. The period of performance extends through April 30, 2026, with all furniture required to be delivered and installed within 30 calendar days of contract award. Performance will take place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, specifically in Building 20643 (Facility 20643) with offices located on the third floor at 2950 Hobson Way, requiring contractor compliance with base security procedures and access requirements through Gate 26A.
