About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks information from potential sources capable of providing Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) research and development services to meet Department of Defense and contractor needs. The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime intends to award a follow-on contract to continue the AME Program, which involves maintaining existing AME technologies and developing additional capabilities in areas such as advanced digital devices, microprocessors, memory, and hybrid devices. Respondents should provide qualifications related to experience, personnel, facilities, and specific information pertinent to microcircuit emulation. The deadline for submitting information is December 10, 2019. Evaluation will be based on the qualifications and capabilities presented.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The NAICS code is 541712 and PSC code is R425. The incumbent contractor is not named but the notice indicates the AME Program was previously performed. The value and period of performance for the follow-on contract are not specified, but the statement of work suggests ongoing technology development and support will be required.
Notice text
This is not a solicitation annoucment. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of the potential qualified sources that are capable of providing Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) research and development (R&D) services meeting DoD and DoD contractors' needs for readiness and logistical support.
The intent is for the Government to enter into a contract to continue on the AME Program. The AME Program was developed to econommically support DoD requirements for support and emulation of smaller, faster and more complicated microcircuits that are no longer available from industry. The AME Program develops and demonstrates next generation technology/processes for devices and assemblies beyond the scope or incompatible with direct extensions of the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuit (GEM) Program's current technology.
An initial draft of the AME Program Statement of Work is incorporated into this posting.
Information submitted should include qualifications related to experience, personnel and facilities. This includes, but is not limited to specific and pertinent information to this particular area of procurement that will enhance our consideration and evaluation of the infomation submitted.
