About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks sources capable of providing advanced microcircuit emulation research and development services to meet Department of Defense and Defense contractor needs. The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime intends to award a contract to continue the Advanced Microcircuit Emulation Program, maintaining existing technologies and developing new capabilities in digital devices, memory, and analog components. Responses must describe relevant experience, personnel, facilities, and any other information pertaining to providing these services. Submissions are due by May 15, 2019, after which the agency will evaluate qualifications.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. Responses should address maintaining and advancing emulation technologies for smaller, faster microcircuits no longer commercially available, including designing demonstration devices, characterizing application specific integrated circuits, and incorporating quality control. Delivery orders may be issued under any resulting contract for limited production, additional research, or engineering support. Budget details and the period of performance were not provided.
Notice text
This is not a solicitation annoucment. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of the potential qualified sources that are capable of providing Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) research and development (R & D) services meeting DoD and DoD contractors' needs for readiness and logistical support.
The intent is for the Government to enter into a contract to continue on the AME Program. The AME Program was developed to econommically support DoD requirements for support and emulation of smaller, faster and more complicated microcircuits that are no longer available from industry. The AME Program develops and demonstrates next generation technology/processes for devices and assemblies beyond the scope or incompatible with direct extensions of the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuit (GEM) Program's current technology.
An initial draft of the AME Program Statement of Work is incorporated into this posting.
Information submitted should include qualifications related to experience, personnel and facilities. This includes, but is not limited to specific and pertinent information to this particular area of procurement that will enhance our consideration and evaluation of the infomation submitted. Responses to this announcement shall be froewarded to the following:.
