About this opportunity

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Special Notice for the acquisition of two Biotage TurboVaps, a type of laboratory equipment used for evaporation. The CDC intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Biotage LLC for this procurement, citing the brand-name nature of the required equipment.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the public of the CDC's intent to award a sole source contract to Biotage LLC for the purchase of two Biotage TurboVaps. The CDC has determined that Biotage is the only vendor capable of providing the required dual plate nitrogen evaporator with the necessary features. Contractors are not being solicited for this procurement, and the government will make a determination on whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received. Interested parties should email the contract specialist at urj20@cdc.gov by 3:00 PM EST on August 20, 2024. This contract action will be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
