About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command has issued a Special Notice for an Access Control System Expansion at Keesler Air Force Base. The notice indicates the government's intent to award a sole source contract to Advantor Systems II LLC for expanding the existing access control infrastructure. This non-competitive procurement is being implemented under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b), which allows for single-source awards when only one provider can meet the specific requirement. The project specifically involves installing an expanded access control system in Building 1101, focusing on Room 6 and Room 7. Market research has confirmed that Advantor is the only viable vendor due to the proprietary nature of their current access control systems.
Interested contractors have until 12:00 PM CST on May 16, 2025, to submit capability statements or quotes via email to markos.mendoza@us.af.mil and kimberley.alvarez.1@us.af.mil. While the government has predetermined Advantor Systems II LLC as the sole source contractor, they will consider any quotes received before the deadline. The project requires a certified Advantor systems integrator capable of designing, procuring, installing, and testing the access control system expansion with specific technical requirements. Contractors must complete a comprehensive installation process, including low-voltage cabling, system programming, and adherence to strict security and technical standards. The contract includes a one-year sustainment period and a 12-month warranty, with the successful vendor required to provide system administration training and comprehensive documentation. Contractors must also comply with base security protocols, including personnel background checks and identification media procedures.
