About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center seeks mold sanitation and HVAC cleaning services at West Gate Chapel, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, with proposals due September 8. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside.

Place of performance is Eglin AFB, FL 32542. The scope includes cleaning and sanitizing 31 prefabricated fan coil units, internal coils, and corresponding vents to eliminate debris and microbial growth; wiping down and treating all visible mold within 10 feet of air handlers, ducts, and vents; applying specialized cleaning chemicals to eliminate microbial growth on surrounding walls and wooden objects including cabinets, doors, and panels; and cleaning and treating approximately 2,500 square feet of sanctuary carpet with an EPA-approved anti-microbial agent. Contractors have discretion in methodology and may clean components in place or remove them for outdoor cleaning. Internal HVAC or duct insulation that is wet, deteriorated, or visibly contaminated must be removed and replaced if it cannot be effectively cleaned. Contractors are not responsible for moving pews or furniture. Acceptance is based on visual clearance from chapel leadership without post-remediation verification, air or surface sampling, laboratory testing, or formal clearance reports.

NAICS code is 561210 (Facilities Support Services); PSC code is S201 (Housekeeping–Custodial Janitorial). Amendment 1, issued August 26, incorporated Wage Determination 2015-4531 for Okaloosa County, Florida, and FAR clause 52.222-41 (Service Contract Labor Standards).
