About this opportunity
The 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base is conducting market research for rental vehicle services to support the 99th Logistics Readiness Squadron through a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information. The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command seeks vendors capable of providing a diverse fleet of rental vehicles ranging from compact cars to 26-foot stake bed trucks, with delivery and pickup services required at both Nellis AFB and Harry Reid International Airport. Key requirements include providing vehicles no more than two years old, ensuring 24-hour support availability, allowing multiple drivers at no additional cost, and accommodating drivers as young as 18 with valid DoD Common Access Cards and state licenses. Interested vendors must identify their firm information, business size classification, small business certifications if applicable, required response timeframes for RFPs, and transition periods from award to service initiation. Electronic responses are due to Jeremy Rivera at jeremy.rivera.3@us.af.mil by Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time, with earlier submissions encouraged.
This procurement opportunity carries no set-aside designation and is classified under NAICS code 532111 for Passenger Car Rental services. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice, as this represents a preliminary market research phase rather than a formal solicitation. The Statement of Work indicates requirements for extensive vehicle condition standards including functional mechanical components, proper registration, full fuel tanks, and minimal exterior damage, with vendors assuming risk for vehicle loss or damage under most circumstances. The contract structure allows for multiple vehicle types and quantities to support scheduled exercise periods, with flexibility permitting changes up to 24 hours prior to intended use. This Sources Sought notice serves purely planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment by the government to award a contract or reimburse bid preparation costs.
