About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting a sources sought market survey to assess contractor interest and capability for commercial navigation and post-processing software, with responses due July 1, 2026. This is not a solicitation; NAICS code 513210 applies with a small business size standard of $47 million in average annual receipts.
The software must integrate natively with Ping 3DSS sonar systems and support hydroacoustic and hydrographic survey workflows. Required capabilities include tightly coupled GNSS/INS processing for high-multipath, GNSS-degraded riverine environments; direct interoperability with hydrographic software (HYPACK, Qinsy, CARIS, internal tools); automated timestamp alignment across GNSS, IMU, and sonar streams; batch processing of large multi-day survey datasets; and QA/QC reporting aligned with agency hydroacoustic standards. The software must support correction services (PPP, PPK, SBAS), export to required formats (SBET, ASCII, RXP, manufacturer-specific), and demonstrated compatibility with hydroacoustic biological-survey platforms. Critically, the solution must operate in secure computing environments without cloud-based processing and be compatible with existing inertial navigation units and GNSS receivers.
Responses are solicited from Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises, HubZone-certified firms, 8(a) participants, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses, and general small businesses. Responses must include firm name, address, phone number, SAM UEI, capability statement with recent relevant performance history, and size status. Submit to Kekila_Keuma@ios.doi.gov by July 1, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. MST.
