About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 8, is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to identify potential suppliers for facility waste receptacles and dispensers at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. The VA is specifically targeting Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), or other small business firms to determine the availability of qualified sources for a potential set-aside procurement. Responding organizations must submit comprehensive company information including business size, SAM registration status with UEI number and CAGE code, contact details, manufacturer information, country of origin, and authorized distributor letters if applicable. The deadline for responses is January 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, with all submissions directed to Cindy.Smith@va.gov, and the VA retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with a competitive procurement based on the responses received.
This procurement is conducted under NAICS code 339999 (All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 550 employees, and no contract award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. Quantities for the 11 product line items range from 15 to 177 units per item type, reflecting the specific operational requirements of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. The VA reserves the right to set aside the contract exclusively for SDVOSB or VOSB firms if at least two qualifying responses meeting set-aside criteria are received during this market research phase. No incumbent contractor or potential award value has been identified in the pre-solicitation materials, as this notice is intended solely for market research purposes to assess vendor capabilities and availability rather than as a binding commitment. This is a civilian procurement within the federal healthcare sector, and interested vendors should note that the information provided will not result in payment and will be used exclusively to inform the VA's procurement strategy going forward.
