About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a request for proposal in the third quarter of fiscal year 2020 for a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to acquire approximately 248 seven-meter rigid inflatable boats. The boats must be built to commercial standards using government specifications focused on weight and compatibility requirements. The acquisition aims to reduce total ownership costs through commonality with previously acquired watercraft and standardization of equipment. Proposals will be due approximately five to six weeks following release of the final RFP, with contract award planned for September 2020.

This requirement has been set aside for small businesses only under NAICS code 336612. The contractor must provide firm fixed pricing for engineering, production, and materials over five ordering periods. Interested offerors may request additional specifications and drawings by signing a non-disclosure agreement. Questions regarding the draft RFP must be submitted by February 27, 2020 to the identified contracting officer.
