About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Franchise Acquisition Services is conducting a market survey for a contract to support Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) HD Camera Assembly repair and spare parts procurement. The market survey seeks information from potential vendors regarding their capabilities to provide repair services and acquire spare parts for specific camera components, including HD Camera Assembly (Part No. 115910) and associated cables. Interested businesses are required to submit a capability statement detailing their previous repair and acquisition experience, years in business, ability to meet draft Statement of Work requirements, and their proposed programmatic approach. Vendors must electronically submit their responses by 4:00 p.m. Central Time on May 15, 2025, to Tamara M. Maxwell via email, with the subject line "6973GH-25-RFI-00009 - CBP HD CAMERA ASSEMBLY - MARKET SURVEY". The evaluation will focus on vendors' ability to provide comprehensive repair services, manage part availability, and demonstrate past performance in similar contracts.

The market survey does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning it is open to all qualified businesses. The contract appears to have a one-year base period with four potential option years, covering repair services across five repair tiers with a maximum 45-calendar day repair turnaround time. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract will require monthly Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action Summary (FRACAS) reports and robust obsolescence management procedures. The procurement falls under NAICS Category 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, and PSC Category 5855 for Night Vision Equipment. Contractors will be expected to provide immediate notification of potential performance delays, equipment failures, or hazardous conditions, and manage non-routine discrepancies through a structured "Over and Above" approval process.
