About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System sought quotes for seven Mobile UV Disinfection Devices equivalent to Xenex MXSUV1-FTXCT under solicitation 36C26226Q1284, a total small business set-aside; Amendment 0002, posted August 18, cancelled the solicitation in its entirety, rendering the original August 18 quote deadline moot.
Place of performance was VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, California 90822. The procurement required vendors to be Original Equipment Manufacturers, authorized dealers, authorized distributors, or authorized resellers; remanufactured and gray market items were prohibited under VAAR 852.212-71. For products proposed as equal alternatives, vendors had to demonstrate that their offering met or exceeded stated functional requirements as an FDA-authorized Whole Room Microbial Reduction Device.
The package included software licensing, upgraded safety assurance, reporting and archiving, factory replacement accessories, on-site service and training, refurbished-to-new replacement emitter exchange, portal usage, cloud-based storage, and general warranty repairs covered under a one-year base year warranty. Shipping was FOB Destination with all costs included in the quoted unit price. The contract was firm fixed price.
Trade-in of seven existing Xenex MXSUV1-FTXCT units (approximately 10 years old, five requiring repairs and two in working condition) was available with no outstanding financial obligations; the contractor bore responsibility for pickup from VA Long Beach Healthcare System and was entitled to obtain OEM trade-in credits. Amendment 0001, posted August 11, clarified that the question period had closed and no further inquiries would be accepted unless deemed in the government's best interest. NAICS code is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing; PSC code is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies.

- Is there any money owed on these units, including service agreement? No. Previous equipment is good for trade in.
- For CLIN 0002, please confirm whether seven (7) existing Xenex MXSUV1-FTXCT units will be available for trade-in. If so, can the Government provide the model/serial information, approximate condition, location, and any required removal or pickup responsibilities necessary for quoters to obtain accurate OEM trade-in credits?
