About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 is seeking cardiovascular imaging software upgrades for the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. This procurement specifically targets the 3mensio Structural Heart 10.2 software or an equivalent commercial solution capable of importing and reconstructing high-resolution cardiac CT angiography DICOM data, generating interactive 3D models of cardiac anatomy, providing structural heart planning modules, simulating device deployment, and producing exportable measurement reports. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and cannot contact VA staff directly about the solicitation, with all questions directed to Contracting Officer John H. Shultzaberger. The evaluation will focus on four key criteria: technical merit, delivery and installation capabilities, training and support services, and price. The solicitation (Number 36C24825Q0929) requires responses by July 11, 2025 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time, with all inquiries directed to the contracting officer at John.Shultzaberger@va.gov or 352-214-5135.

This solicitation does not utilize any set-aside designations and is unrestricted for competition among eligible vendors. The contract structure includes a firm fixed-price award with a base year running from July 31, 2025 to July 30, 2026, followed by four optional one-year renewal periods that could extend the contract through July 30, 2030. The place of performance is located at 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608, specifically at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 513210 (Software Publishers) and Product Service Code 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies). While the solicitation documents do not specify exact award values or identify current incumbents, the multi-year contract structure with optional renewal periods suggests a significant investment in cardiovascular imaging capabilities for the medical center's cardiac care services.
