About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs published a Special Notice regarding a potential sole source procurement of Axumin, Amyvid and Cerianna doses. The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center intends to solicit PetNet Solutions and TrillaMed as the only sources that can satisfy its need for these proprietary radiopharmaceuticals used to diagnose recurrent prostate cancer, breast cancer estrogen receptor-positive lesions, and Alzheimer's disease.

The Special Notice seeks information from other contractors by August 30, 2023 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time regarding their capability and interest in providing these radiopharmaceutical doses as an alternative to sole sourcing from PetNet Solutions and TrillaMed. If any qualified contractors adequately demonstrate their capability, the VA will consider conducting this procurement on a competitive basis. The doses are used in nuclear medicine diagnostics and must be obtained from a local radiopharmacy due to their radioactive nature and short shelf life. This pre-solicitation notice allows any interested and qualified contractors to identify their ability to meet these specialized medical product and delivery requirements for potential inclusion in a competitive procurement process.
