About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19 is seeking to procure nuclear medicine radiopharmaceuticals and related services for the Cheyenne VA Medical Center's Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) department. The procurement encompasses a comprehensive range of nuclear radiopharmaceuticals required to support nuclear medicine diagnostic exams, including nuclear cardiac stress tests and other imaging procedures. Contractors must be capable of providing weekly delivery of radiopharmaceutical products due to their short half-lives and the medical center's inability to maintain bulk storage. Key requirements include meeting flexible delivery schedules based on physician orders, providing multiple Technetium-99m (Tc-99m) formulations and other isotopes, and maintaining compliance with VA standards. The responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due by March 19, 2026 at 12:00 PM Mountain Time, with the contracting office located in Greenwood Village, Colorado and the place of performance at 2360 E. Pershing Boulevard in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Contracting Officer is Barron Long, who can be reached at barron.long@va.gov or 303-712-5741.

This procurement has no set-aside designation and no previous incumbent information is provided in the solicitation documents. The requirement encompasses 22 line items across multiple radiopharmaceutical products and services, including 208 vials of Xenon-133 (20mCi), various Tc-99m kits and solutions in quantities ranging from 20 to 140 units, 90 Iodine-123 capsules, 2 Cobalt-57 sheet sources, 261 delivery charges, and survey meter calibration services. Specific budget or award values are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice; however, the substantial quantities and weekly delivery requirements indicate a significant ongoing procurement. In accordance with VA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix A, A&A requirements and Security Accreditation Packages do not apply to this procurement. The product service code is 6505 (Drugs and Biologicals) and the NAICS code is 325412 (Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing).
