About this file
This is a Statement of Need for a Nuclear Medicine Radiopharmaceuticals contract at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) department requires weekly delivery of nuclear radiopharmaceuticals to support Nuclear Medicine exams, including Nuclear Cardiac Stress tests. Due to the short half-lives of these materials, bulk storage is not feasible; therefore, delivery quantities shall be determined based on the type and number of exams ordered by physicians on a weekly basis. The requirement is being pursued as a pre-solicitation notice (Solicitation Number 36C25926Q0330) through the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19. In accordance with Handbook 6500.6 Appendix A, A&A requirements do not apply to this procurement, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
The specifications detail 22 line items encompassing various radiopharmaceutical products and services. Key items include Xe-133 (208 vials of 20mCi), multiple Technetium-99m (Tc-99m) non-HEU products in varying quantities, Iodine-123 capsules (90 units), Albumin Aggregated kits, Mebrofenin kits in both branded (Choletec) and generic formulations, Medronate (MDP) kits, Mertiatide (MAG-3), Sestamibi, Pyrophosphate (PYP), Sulfur Colloid, and Oxidronate (HDP) products. Additional line items include 261 delivery charges, two Co-57 sheet sources, and two survey meter calibrations. Prospective contractors should be capable of meeting weekly delivery schedules and providing the full range of nuclear medicine products specified.
