About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a complete emergency paging system for Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, with quotes due June 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. CDT. This is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 334290.
Place of performance is Shreveport, Louisiana (Buildings 1, 55, and 57). The procurement requires a fully licensed company to deliver a turnkey solution including paging transmitters and antennas, cabling, paging consoles and software, uninterruptible power supply units, network switches, 300 alphanumeric pagers, 5 new standalone computers, and 5 yearly system service contracts with normal business hours service calls, 10 hours of after-hours support, and annual preventive maintenance. The system must use alphanumeric paging technology with redundant capability, integrate with the existing VA phone system and Code Blue system (Lone Star), and be compatible with future TCP/IP-based expansion. All components must be new and meet manufacturer specifications. The system must be standalone and not interfaced with the existing Rauland Responder 5 Code Blue system or CUCM PBX/phone environment. The 90-day period of performance for delivery, installation, and system acceptance begins June 15, 2026.
Amendment 0002, posted May 27, extended the response deadline from May 26 to June 10 and scheduled a mandatory site visit for June 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM CST at Building 4, Room 16, requiring 24-hour advance confirmation. The Government extended the deadline to permit site surveys of Buildings 1, 55, and 57 to determine transmitter buildout and infrastructure requirements. Questions are due by May 21 at 12:00 p.m. CDT. Award will be made to the lowest-priced offeror meeting all requirements. Submit quotes electronically to kimberly.anderson6@va.gov.
