About this opportunity
The Defense Information Systems Agency, on behalf of the 55th Electronic Combat Group, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Viasat, Inc. for four subscriptions of Viasat's Global Network Ku-band satellite communication services, including associated terrestrial backhaul and maintenance of existing Viasat hardware installed on aircraft. Responses are due by January 22, 2021 and must demonstrate the service is interoperable with the existing Viasat equipment and affirm the proposed services can meet requirements.
There is no set-aside designated. The NAICS code is 517410 for satellite telecommunications and the potential incumbent and only approved source is Viasat, Inc., as their proprietary hardware currently operates on the aircraft. The notice anticipates a three month period of performance starting February 1, 2021 for these airborne communications services under a firm fixed price contract.
